We are the local chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction in the Triangle of North Carolina. We are very active in growing community locally, regionally, and nationally.
With more than 115 chapters across the country, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) offers its members education, support and networking to help advance their careers in construction, build their technical skills, and become leaders.
NAWIC strives to be a place of peace, safety, and support; surrounded by openness and inclusivity in which to grow, dream and simply be.
We recognize the need to create, support and sustain an inclusive culture, where differences drive innovative solutions to meet the needs of our members. In this spirit, we are eager to serve our members through our pillars: Communication Education Recruitment/Retainment.

For more than 20 years I have shared a passion for advocating, mentoring, supporting, and educating women in and out of the construction industry. As part of the male-populated construction industry, NAWIC stands out. Building strong connections with other female leaders in an effort to lift each other up. Women need to be advocates for other women. NAWIC has given me this opportunity and so much more.
I first attended a NAWIC meeting six years ago and have been involved ever since. I have met some of the most incredible women in this industry through my NAWIC membership. I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of the association – from education to networking opportunities and everything in between. I’ve been fortunate to serve in several leadership capacities in the last few years and am so excited to see where NAWIC will go in the future.
I’ve been involved with NAWIC since 2018, and I currently serve as chapter President of NAWIC Triangle. NAWIC has allowed me to develop my leadership abilities, to connect and learn from women across all industries and professions and given me a platform to advocate for the voices of my fellow women in AE&C. I would encourage any woman feeling the need for a sense of community, or just wanting to gain valuable connections to take the opportunity to join us!
